Tricolor inspired candle decors DIY – celebrate Indian independence day 2020 | Fun arts with kids.

Happy 73rd Independence day to all my fellow Indians all over the world. We all will always be Indians and get patriotic during this time!

During this difficult times, we all stuck in the world pandemic COVID-19 and due to lockdown are stuck at home. We should celebrate this day at home with all the patriotism in our hearts.

What’s a better way to decorate our home space with something dedicated to our TRICOLOR flag? So, I made candle holder & coaster with tricolor theme inspired by our flag!

These tutorials are so easy that you can try them with your KIDS and have fun with family and teach them about patriotism and our rich history.

Please follow these tutorials and get inspired for make something interesting for your home this independence day.

Glass candle holder:

What you’ll need:

  1. Transparent glass
  2. rice in 3 bowls
  3. Paint colors or food color
  4. candles
  5. pallet
  6. spoon

How to make:

  1. Take rice and divide them into 3 bowls. keep the plain rice aside as we will use them as it is.
  2. Take one bowl of rice and put the green paint in it and mix it. You can also use food coloring.
  3. Take the second bowl repeat the same procedure but with orange or saffron color.
  4. Let the rice dry for a while.
  5. Take a glass and put some green rice, then plain white rice and then saffron rice. You can stack rice in as many glasses as you want.
  6. After stacking the tri-colors, stand the faux candles on it. The candle holder is ready!

Candle or plant coaster:

What you’ll need:

  1. Bar sticks
  2. Paint
  3. candles or small faux plant
  4. pallet
  5. brushes
  6. White glue

How to make:

  1. Take the bar sticks, here according to the size of my bar sticks I took 4 for each color.
  2. Color each 4 set of sticks in 3 different colors i. e. saffron, white and green.
  3. Stack then together and put some glue and stick them together.
  4. For more strength stick 4 sticks vertically on the backside.
  5. Let it dry for sometime.
  6. Place the place or candle on it and the coaster decor is ready.
