2020 has been a mess and very rough for all of us worldwide. With COVID19 pandemic has turned our lives upside down and we had locked ourselves in our homes past 5-6 months.

Lifting lockdown restrictions was in 4 phase and well executed process in Qatar. Phase 4 is finally here and it is safe to take children to parks, malls and restaurants.

We had the amazing , exiting and adventurous experience of kayaking at Al Dahkhira mangroves, situated at near the sea coast of Qatar.

Some info about Al Dahkhira mangroves:

Al Thakira mangroves, located just north of the seaside city of Al Khor, present a large expanse of natural greenery. A great way to explore the mangroves is by kayak, available from several tour operators and specialised companies. Morning and afternoon trips are available and can be booked in advance.

We booked the trip with Discover Arabia with affordable price of 150 QR per person.

Firstly, they picked us up from the common point of the city toward the tent in Al Dhakhira Desert. The Mangroves was very closed to the tent.

We got basic training about kayaking and they guided us through the process.

There were 2 stops so that we could catch our breath and take in all the beauty of the mangroves!
